SOARING IN THE SOUTH ACRO YOGA TEACHER TRAINING 2026
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Soaring In The South
Acro Yoga Teacher Training
Level 1
Raven Grace is fired up and ready to bring you a world class Acro Yoga Training here in Australia.
As we move further into the advancement of online technology, it is so important to remember the art of being human, building healthy community and relationships and developing our internal connections to our physical and emotional landscape.
Re-establish our relationship to Earth & Sky and where we stand in the middle.
Maintain the ability to communicate and co-operate clearly.
Have healthy boundaries that allow what is wanted in, and what is not, out.
Connecting in person and advancing our natural technology that lives within our body, minds and hearts.
The journey of Acro Yoga brings what lies within us up and out into the world.
This adventure will warm you from the inside out as you reconnect with the joy of play through physical movement and the restoration of healthy trust in your fellow cohort crew. It will give you tools of exploration to last a lifetime and some real practical skills you can integrate immediately on and off the mat.
Acro Yoga Practice is thriving in Europe, Israel, Canada, South America and the USA. There are core communities in Australia in the capital cities, yet there is so much room for more teachers to be sharing this art form and the transformations healthy physical practice has to offer.
Will you be one of them?
The Soaring in the South Level 1 Acro Yoga Teacher Training Includes:
220 hour in person training
6 x 3-day weekends and 1 x 5-day weekend
8 1:1 lessons spaced out throughout the training
8 x Online meetup ups
Home Quests and Handstand home practice
Acro Yoga Certificate of Completion
SOARING IN THE SOUTH STYLE
What influences our style of Acro Yoga?
Acro Yoga Practice and has been a melting pot of connection that included modalities of Yoga Asana, Partner Acrobatics, Thai Massage and Dance.
Our style is influenced by the principles of Feldenkrais, Shiatsu, Breakdance, Mobility Practice, Contemporary Dance, Parkour, Circus, Yoga, Qi Gong, Sotai, Breathwork and Traditional East Asian Philosophy. When there’s so many things in the melting pot what even is this practice?
There is a common vocabulary of movements one can learn as a foundation so we can speak a common movement language and then form our own unique expressions.
At the core of this practice, it’s about coming back into connection, developing ourselves so that we are better in relationships, developing our relationships so we better understand ourselves, not just with other people but with gravity and the ground.
Ultimately, we are Human Gardeners, creating conditions for the unique person (and ourselves) in front of us, to blossom into their best expression. We can offer this by providing the ingredients for the human spirit to thrive. Trust, Fun, Safety, Challenge, Gravity, Nature, Nurture, Empty Space, Invitation, Support, Accountability, Freedom and Boundaries
From here we trust that each student has the capacity to walk through the door when the time is right...
You’re invited to walk with us in 2026.

Raven Grace, the movement magician, has easily invested over 100,000 hours into physical movement practices. Coming from a youngster in pain who was unable to walk on a decline without knee pain and had scoliosis, to still breakdancing at 38, Raven realises there is no end in sight and learning is a lifelong process.
Raven first found Acro and partnering at Professional Dance School, (think Dirty Dancing high bird) and more, single handed movement lifts and standing Acro to enhance performance on stage. He later came across L-Basing Acro Yoga and Therapeutics while studying Shiatsu, and hated it. What was this half acrobatics/half massage, posing as Yoga thing done by un-committed, un-trained hippies in the park?
That was it for Acro Yoga, pushed to the side until one year later. Volunteering at 'Lentils as Anything' in Abbotsford Melbourne, it was at a co-workers party, Acro Yoga arrived again. And this time he had completed his first round of study in Oriental therapies and had new eyes for the potential of Acro Yoga. What could be seen now was the healing potential of Acro Yoga in society and social gatherings. Acro Yoga is a gateway for everyday people to reconnect with themselves and their joyful spirit through having fun, being present, connecting with others and returning to safety within relationships.
Raven began to notice peoples fears and resistance to change start to drop away almost instantly after a good Acro Yoga session. People became more warm and open, bringing more enthusiasm and excitement about life again. With this new insight, Raven devoted thousands of hours learning, practicing and performing Acro Yoga. A journey that became a full-time career, taking him to 20 different countries and creating some of the best moments for his life and others.
Raven is passionate and excited for each and every students journey that walks in the door for the first time or the thousandth time. In his spare time, Raven is a full-time student of life, studying whatever takes his interest, especially in the realms of movement, health and East Asian medicine. He believes good teachers never stop learning and even though we can do most things by ourselves, it is the relationships that we cultivate that nourish our lives the most.

TESTIMONIALS
Here you can read some other peoples lived experience of Acro Yoga and Raven's teaching. Thanks so much for those of you that wrote in, it means so much to us.
"Raven was there at the very start of my Acro Yoga and handbalancing journey (now almost 7 years strong!) He is a considerate, compassionate and reassuring teacher with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills. To this day, I use and practice the physical and mental cues he shared with us during the course of the numerous workshops and classes I attended. Some of my most pivotal and fond memories of learning Acro Yoga come directly from my experience with Raven's teachings. I highly recommend his classes and look forward to joining more!"
- Ester Joyce, Western Australia
"Raven has a unique style of teaching. It's fun and gentle combining dance with Acro Yoga allowing people to be themselves and learn in their own pace I can hardly wait for another opportunity to do Acro with him".
- Viola Julin, Finland

”I've never felt so welcomed and included as in Raven's classes. Unconditionally. Apart from the incredible feeling of belonging, it was as if Raven was able to visualise everyone's different path, and guided the steps with talent, encouraging to take risks when it's needed or simply rest when it was best. I braved mountains of fear with an ally on my side, genuinely believing in me. Results are amazing, I found gold on the other side of the mountain that I couldn't see or even or imagine. Eveyone needs a little bit of Raven. Doing serious things without taking ourselves too seriously, is his motto. Joy is his fuel."
- Lucile Leveque, France
"I am so grateful to have had the chance to learn Acro Yoga with Raven. Raven creates a judgement free environment for his students to re-discover their bodies in a holistic way. His practice encourages self reflections and enquiry, both of which are crucial to overall physical and emotional development. In today's world, it is more important than ever that we create stronger connections with people and the community, whilst reconnecting with our bodies. For this reason I align with Acro Yoga was a practice and would highly recommend Raven as a teacher. He has a wealth of knowledge to share!
- Aza Newland, South Australia

"Raven was my first mentor in the field of movement, body and more, specifically break dance since 2002. Together we forged a lifelong friendship and passion for the skillset that I gained from Raven's willpower and encouragement".
- Blake Hunter, Victoria
"My experience with Raven's Acro Yoga sessions were pretty amazing. I'm 20 years deep into dance/movement and never felt my body loosen up like that before. The Acro sequences were like being in a brand new body, very cool. Seriously, it left a tattoo on my joints that read, 'Do whatever this is more".
- Simon M, Bali
"I've done two Acro Yoga workshops with Raven so far and couldn't have wished for a better teacher! Both sessions were amazing - joyful, exhilirating, invigorating, encouraging me to push my own boundaries while meeting me where I'm at. Raven is a gifted teacher, gentle yet strong, who effortlessly manages to help everyone grow their skills regadless of how advanced or (in)experienced you are. I look forward to more!"
- Antje Guenther, South Australia

"Raven is wonderful! My first Acro class was inclusive, easy to follow and fun! Even when hanging upside down, he holds the space for you to be you".
- Kelly Bennetta, South Australia
”Raven has a slippery way of pouring deep layers of learning together in a way that feel fun, whilst developing fundamental skills. He also makes you want to rhyme all the time."
- Dean Philp, South Australia
"Raven is a beautiful soul with the most contagious teaching and communication skills ever! He encourages you to embrace the highest aspect of who you truly are, which activates changes from the inside out. You find yourself doing things you had no idea you could or would do, feeling a joy you haven’t known since childhood ;-). Raven has a knack of engaging everyone in class to express from the heart – benefiting physically, psychologically and emotionally. His intuitive gifts connect everyone to the collective. Raven exudes energy in a most gentle and mindful way, always with brilliance and humility. His spirit certainly moved my soul and has had a life-changing impact on me. Raven is a treasure for students and teachers alike"
- Sandra Caballero, South Australia

"Acro Yoga has been a deeply transformative practice in my life. Beyond the physical benefits of strength, flexibility & fitness, Acro has been an incredible tool of self exploration. Its playful & fun, and constantly has me leaning into trust of my own body as well as trust with others. Through the practice you are constantly rediscovering your capacity to learn & grow, and this has reflected beyond the mat to impact my life & bring about positive changes in my day to day life. The community connection that acro brings, has deepened the connections in all my relationships. It is the most incredible way to get into a healthy honest relationship with yourself! Raven teaches with gentleness & humility and his wealth of knowledge brings you into your strength & power"
